Day 1: Arrival – Addis Ababa City Tour

Arrive at Bole International Airport, meet your guide, and transfer to the hotel. After a short break, enjoy a city tour of Addis Ababa, exploring key cultural and historical sites.
Overnight in Addis Ababa.

Day 2: Addis Ababa – Axum | Ancient Capital

Fly to Axum, the cradle of Ethiopian civilization and Christianity. Visit the Stelae Park, St. Mary of Zion Cathedral, King Kaleb’s tomb, and other archaeological treasures reflecting Axum’s thousand-year-old civilization. Overnight in Axum.

Day 3: Axum – Lalibela | Northern Rock-Hewn Churches

Fly to Lalibela, the “New Jerusalem” of Ethiopia. Explore the Northwestern Cluster of rock-hewn churches: Bet Medhane Alem, Bet Maryam, Bet Meskel, Bet Danaghel, Bet Mikael, and Bet Golgotha.
Overnight in Lalibela.

Day 4: Lalibela | Southeastern Cluster & St. George

Visit the Southeastern Cluster: Bet Gabriel-Rufael, Bet Merkorios, Bet Amanuel, and Bet Abba Libanos. End the day with the iconic Bet Giyorgis (St. George’s Church) and an excursion to Yimrehane Kristos Church, a stunning late-Axumite style church set in a cavern.

Day 5: Lalibela – Gondar | Royal Enclosure

Fly to Gondar and explore the Royal Enclosure, including Fasiladas’ Castle, the heart of Gondar’s 16th-century cultural and religious prominence.
Overnight in Gondar.

Day 6: Simien Mountains Excursion

Morning departure for Simien Mountains National Park (UNESCO), home to Ras Dashen, Walia Ibex and Gelada Baboons. Enjoy light trekking and panoramic views before returning to Gondar.

Day 7: Gondar – Bahir Dar | Lake Tana Monasteries

Drive to Bahir Dar, passing through the scenic highlands of Fogera and Gojam. Afternoon boat cruise on Lake Tana, visiting historic island monasteries. Overnight in Bahir Dar.

Day 8: Blue Nile Falls & Bezawit Hill

Morning visit to the Blue Nile Falls, one of Ethiopia’s most iconic natural sites. After lunch, drive to Bezawit Hill to see the summer residence of Emperor Haile Selassie. Overnight in Bahir Dar.

Day 9: Bahir Dar – Blue Nile Gorge – Debre Libanos

Drive to Debre Libanos, stopping at Goha, Tsion, and Dejen, then pass through the dramatic Blue Nile Gorge, one of Africa’s most captivating landscapes. Overnight in Debre Libanos.

Day 10: Debre Libanos – Addis Ababa | Departure

Morning walk around the lodge and visit the Portuguese Bridge and a small waterfall. Return to Addis Ababa. Evening farewell dinner with traditional Ethiopian cuisine and live folk dance before transfer to the airport for departure.
