Experience Ethiopia: Ancient History, Rich Culture & Stunning Landscapes. Discover Ethiopia’s ancient civilizations, vibrant people, and age-old traditions while exploring breathtaking highland scenery, majestic waterfalls, historic castles, and iconic rock-hewn churches. Journey through Bahir Dar, Gondar, Lalibela, Axum, and more, uncovering 3,000 years of heritage, fascinating architecture and unforgettable landscapes. A perfect adventure for those seeking history, culture, and nature in one extraordinary journey.

Day 1: Arrival & Addis Ababa City Tour
Arrive at Addis Ababa Bole International Airport and meet your guide. Transfer to the hotel for check-in. Depending on your arrival time, enjoy a brief city tour of Ethiopia’s bustling capital. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 2: Addis Ababa – Bahir Dar & Blue Nile Falls
Fly to Bahir Dar (50 min). After check-in, drive 35 km south to the spectacular Blue Nile Falls, locally called “Tis Issat” – The Water That Smokes. In the afternoon, enjoy a boat trip on Lake Tana to visit historic island monasteries such as Kibran Gabriel and Ura Kidane Mehret. Overnight at Bahir Dar.

Day 3: Bahir Dar – Gondar
Drive to Gondar and explore the Royal Enclosure, including Fasilides’ Castle, the Bath of Fasilides, the Qusquam Palace, and the beautifully decorated Debre Berhan Selassie Church. Overnight at Gondar.

Day 4: Gondar – Lalibela
Fly to Lalibela, the “New Jerusalem” of Ethiopia. Visit the extraordinary rock-hewn churches, including the North and South clusters, and explore the traditional Tukul houses in the surrounding village. Overnight at Lalibela.

Day 5: Lalibela – Axum
Fly to Axum, the cradle of Ethiopian civilization. Explore the ancient stelae, royal tombs, St. Mary Churches, and the palace of the legendary Queen of Sheba, along with historic inscriptions. Overnight at Axum.

Day 6: Axum – Addis Ababa & Departure
Fly back to Addis Ababa. Enjoy last-minute shopping and sightseeing, followed by a traditional coffee ceremony and farewell dinner with folklore music and dance. Transfer to the airport for your departure.
